Monrovia, Liberia – President Joseph Nyuma Boakai has congratulated Donald J. Trump, the president-elect of the United States of America on his recent victory in the national election. The American president-elect is taking over the presidency of the United States at a very difficult moment, as the globe is experiencing a worldwide crisis, according to a statement from the Foreign Ministry.
Referring to the divisive political climate that accompanied the electioneering season, he urged Americans to continue moving forward in “peace and unity.”
“As Liberia’s traditional ally, we stand ready to further enhance and rekindle our long, historic and unique bilateral relations, we express the hope that the people of your great country under your astute leadership will continue to enjoy the blessing of peace, unity and prosperity,” President Boakai stated.
The Liberian Leader is the latest of many around the world who have already congratulated the U.S. President-elect.
