President Boakai Convenes Cabinet Meeting Focused on Economic and Governance Priorities

Capitol Hill, Monrovia – President Joseph Boakai has called another cabinet meeting with the topic “Delivering Improved Livelihoods for the People: A United Cabinet Response for Performance, Resilience, and Recovery.” The meeting’s main goal include Strategic briefing on important fiscal, governance, and economic priorities.

At the ongoing Friday session, the Ministries of Finance and Development Planning, along with the National Port Authority, presented updates on domestic trade, the national debt portfolio, and ongoing modernization efforts at the Greenville, Harper, and Buchanan ports.

In addition, the Ministry of Finance provided a thorough summary of government spending, budget performance, and strategic planning for the fiscal year 2026, among other important topics.

During his opening remarks, President Boakai reminded officials that serving the Liberian people is their top priority. He stressed that the only way the administration can successfully handle the problems the country faces is by working together.

Although he acknowledged persistent challenges, such as the escalation of the costs of basic necessities, the President reiterated his administration’s dedication to serving the interests of common the people.
