President Boakai Extols Singapore on 59th Independence Anniversary

Monrovia, Liberia – In honor of the Republic of Singapore’s 59th anniversary of independence on August 9, 2024, President Joseph Nyuma Boakai, Sr. has sent a congratulations letter to the government and populace of that nation.

A statement from the Foreign Ministry stated that President Boakai sent his sincere greetings to His Excellency Tharman Shanmugaratnam, the President of the Republic of Singapore, on behalf of the government and people of the Republic of Liberia, as well as in his own name.

“On this auspicious occasion, I reflect on the excellent bonds of friendship and cooperation subsisting between our two countries and look forward to exploring new areas of cooperation.”

The Liberia Leader also expressed gratitude for the robust collaboration between the two nations in the field of human capacity development, which is essential to achieving the country’s development plan, the ARREST Agenda for Prosperity and Development.

President Boakai expressed confidence that the two nations will collaborate in the areas of peace, security, and economic integration.
