Monrovia, Liberia – President Joseph N. Boakai has received and accepted the Letters of Credence from seven distinguished Ambassadors at his Executive Mansion Office. According to an Executive Mansion release dated July 16, 2024, the diplomats hailed from the nations of Ireland, Guinea, Namibia, Hungary, Burundi, Czech Republic, and Sri Lanka.
In separate ceremonies, featuring conversations with the Ambassadors, President Boakai conveyed his sincere appreciation for their presence and extended gratitude to their respective Heads of State for entrusting them with diplomatic roles in Liberia.
President Boakai underscored the significance of the strong bilateral relationships between Liberia and these nations, expressing his commitment to fortify these ties throughout his tenure. Notably, he warmly welcomed the Guinean Ambassador, emphasizing the importance of collaboration with neighboring countries within the Mano River Union (MRU) to foster prosperity, peace, and security.
President Boakai also emphasized Liberia’s steadfast commitment to advancing peace and encouraging cordial relations with all countries.
The ambassadors in response expressed how keen their nations were to work with the Liberian government to advance development projects related to governance, water supply, agriculture, security, and healthcare. The exchange of official Letters of Credence between the participating nations strengthens and authenticates their diplomatic ties.
