President George Weah suspends Brownie Samukai two years sentence

On Monday, February 21, 2022, President George Weah suspended the two years sentencing of Lofa County Senator-Elect and Former Defence Minister Brownie Samukai.

In January of this year, the Supreme Court ordered the incarceration of the former Defense Minister and two defendants for two years for their failure to comply with the mandate of the court.

But what do some citizens think of the President’s decision amid local and international calls for Liberia to double its effort in the fight against corruption?
