President Weah Dedicates Government Hospital Annex

Provides Medical Equipments in Buchanan

Buchanan City, Grand Bassa County – On Sunday, July 16, 2023, President Weah visited the Government Hospital in Buchanan and delivered a variety of medical supplies, including necessary medications and surgical equipment to the Hospital, which is the only referral health facility in the county.

President Weah commended the hospital administration and personnel for the sacrifices they continue to make for the county and country in order to keep citizens safe, healthy, and strong. He was flanked by the Minister of Health, Dr. Whelimena Jallah, the County’s Legislative Caucus, and other leaders of government.

Later, after cutting the ribbon and dedicating the hospital’s newly built Annex, President Weah took a tour of the building.

Moses Whedigar, the hospital’s chief executive officer, thanked the president for restoring the building and for continuing to support the hospital. When the Government Hospital was severely damaged by a fire disaster months ago, President Weah reportedly ordered the renovation of the annex.
