    President Weah meet with Chiefs and Elders in Ganta City

    Liberia President George Manneh Weah at the end of the 2022 Cabinet Retreat in Ganta-City, meet with the Chiefs and Elders of Nimba County. Introducing themselves, the chiefs praised Mr. Weah for his developmental initiatives in the county.

    They name road construction in various parts of the county as a plus for economic growth in the county. They at the same time thank the president for providing means of transportation for the chiefs and elders to interact with their people.

    The chiefs and elders who were both men and women also praised President Weah for maintaining the peace in the country. According to them, despite the economic hardship, Mr. Weah continues to exhibit good leadership.

    The elders presented traditional cloths, cattle and food items to the Liberian Leader including money. The chiefs and elders also pledged their support to the Liberian Leader’s second term bid come 2023. According to them, making Mr. Weah president for the second time will allow him to complete the development and work he has started throughout the country.

    In response, President Weah thanked the chiefs and elders for their support. He at the same time praised and thanked them for trusting his leadership despite others did not believe in him. Mr. Weah encouraged the chiefs and elders to remain positive in the development of the country. According to the President, for a country to develop, peace is the ultimate, noting that keeping the peace in Liberia will switch attention to Liberia in terms of investment.

    The chiefs and elders spoke in the presence of the two senators of Nimba County to include, including Senator Prince Johnson, Senator Jeremiah Kohn, the women group, and leaders of the county.
