    President Weah Nominates NaFAA’s Bosses

    President George Manneh Weah, has re-nominated Hon. Emma Metieh Glassco and Mr. Augustine S. Manoballah as Director-General and Deputy Director-General for Administration of the National  Fisheries and Aquaculture Authority (NaFAA) respectively.

    The preferment made Tuesday, January 18, 2022, is subject to confirmation by the Liberian Senate. The two NaFAA officials have been serving in said capacities over the past years. The two have transformed the fishier sector, recently, the NaFAA signed a deal with its partners to supply motorized machines to fishermen in order to enhance their fishing capabilities.

    The institution has also signed a financial deal to help uplift the financial capabilities of fishmongers around the country. With its implantation of Licenses fee, NaFAA has also provided fishing nets for fishermen around the country. Mad. Glassco NaFAA was last year awarded Best Sector of the year and, she was also awarded for her hard work in transforming the Fishier sector.
