Protest at Monrovia Central Prison Prevents Telleh from Testifying

IN ONGOING MURDER TRAIL OF FORMER CHIEF JUSTICE

Capitol Hill, Monrovia – Varlee Telleh, who was scheduled to testify in the ongoing murder trial of former Chief Justice Gloria Musu Scott and other family members, was interrupted during his testimony on Monday, December 4, 2023, by persistent protest activity at the Monrovia Central Prison and other prison facilities around the country.

Criminal Court “A” subpoena Telleh to testify regarding a purportedly phone number that was allegedly used from February 21 to February 25 2023.

Along with City Corporation attorney Cllr. Samuel Pearson, the MCC Deputy Chief of Security, Varlee Telleh made an appearance at the Temple of Justice on Monday, December 4, 2023.

Prior to the disturbance caused by the Monrovia Central Prison employees, Talleh was first taken to the office of the Montserrado County Attorney and then later to the sheriff’s office to await his eligibility to testify.
