Monrovia, Liberia – Southampton, the Premier League’s worst team, may have a busy January transfer window if they make a bold approach for Real Madrid sensation Endrick, but they may encounter opposition.
The 18-year-old Brazilian has become a transfer target for the struggling Saints before the winter transfer market opens. Endrick just moved from Palmeiras to the Santiago Bernabeu in the summer, spending £60 million.
But this semester, he hasn’t had many opportunities. In 10 games in all competitions, he has scored twice, however he has not yet started a match, and his league appearances have mostly been late cameos.
Additionally, it has been suggested that he would sign a short-term contract to leave Real Madrid in order to work on improving his skills. Among the teams connected to him is Southampton.
Sport claimed that the Saints have contacted Real Madrid about a possible trade, but they may encounter opposition. Real Valladolid is apparently interested, while Serie A team Roma has also made an inquiry.
Endrick’s future can still be decided before the January transfer window, and the same is true for his colleague Arda Guler. A transfer abroad has also been suggested for the Turkish young player, with Arsenal being one of the teams to get in touch with their Spanish counterparts.
Carlo Ancelotti, the manager of Real Madrid, has previously discussed his intentions for the pair. “[Endrick is] ready to play, doing very well, showing a lot of quality in training,” the Italian remarked earlier this month.
Regarding Güler, I agree. These are pushing young folks. However, the goal is to make things better as soon as feasible.
” With them, is that possible? Indeed. However, turning things around is the goal and the top priority. to avoid allocating minutes to any particular player. We can use Endrick and Güler in the upcoming games,he continued, hey can greatly assist us.”
If Southampton wants to avoid an immediate return to the Championship, they will undoubtedly need further additions, whether or not they are able to acquire Endrick. In 11 games this season, Russell Martin’s team has only triumphed once.
Additionally, they have had trouble finding the net this season, only scoring seven goals, which is fewer than any other team. Due to their performance, Southampton is currently four points outside of safety and at the bottom of the table.
