ALLEGED, TAKING AWAY VALUABLE THINGS
Sinkor, Montserrado County – Montserrado County District #10 Representative Yekeh Kolubah has complains his former security Abu Kieta to the plenary of the House of Representatives for allegedly leading a group of LDEA officers into his premises without his consent while away in Ghana.
The Controversial Montserrado County Representative claimed in a communication presented to his colleagues at the House of Legislature that the act was done without a warrant from a court, adding that Keita allegedly took away some of his properties including three motorbikes and three sets of television including other valuable items.
The lawmaker asked for his colleagues’ permission to invite the Director General of the LDEA, Marcus D. Zehyoue, and the Minister of Justice, Frank Musa Dean, to explain how and by whose authority his property was invaded.
Following the communication presentation, Representative J. Marvin Cole of Bong County District #3 requested that the communication be given to the House’s Committee on national security for investigation and report within two weeks.
The District #10 lawmaker claimed there had been no adequate reparation for the violence that had been directed at him over the years, which he termed as a regrettable scenario. He also accused the CDC government of allegedly supporting the violence. He listed a number of violent incidents, one of which, in his opinion, was a state-sponsored crime that went unpunished, including the disruption of a children’s party in District 10 in December 2018 and an attack on his home in 2019.
The District #10 Lawmaker claimed that during President George Weah’s administration, Liberia had turned into a major drug transit country. Representative Kolubah alleged that government officials are complicit in drug trafficking, which has increased the number of at-risk youngsters nationwide and resulted in inadequate government response to the problem. He insisted that a drug-free society is not something the Weah Taylor Administration is interested in.
