Rep. Norman Blames Gov’t for Development Failure

Monrovia, Liberia – Zinnah Norman, the representative for Gbarpolu County’s District #1, has voiced serious concerns over the government’s purported failure to provide Legislative Support Project Funds for his district in 2024 and 2025.

Norman also called on the government to provide the district funding, stressing that the program should benefit locals irrespective of party affiliations. Norman is a member of major opposition political party, Coliation for Democratic Party (CDC).

Rep. Norman asserts that his constituents are confused as to why their district is being overlooked and that significant community development initiatives have been severely restricted by the ongoing denial of these funds.

He also alleged that money from the 2025 budget was diverted from district projects in order to cover the cost of firing former Speaker Fonati Kofa.
