Montserrado County District #4 Representative Rustonlyn Suacoco Dennis, has condemned the electricity outage at the Roberts International Airport (RIA) and described the situation as Incompetence on the part of management and far from financial support.
The young female lawmaker said it is unfortunate for the only International Airport in the country to run out of electricity at night. She lamented that the management at the Airport is fully aware of aircraft landing at night at the Airport.
Representative Suacoco Dennis stressed that the situation that occurred Wednesday, April 27, 2022, night has the propensity of discouraging Investors from investing in the country.
The Youthful female lawmaker wrote the statement on her social media page on Thursday, April 28, 2022, a day after the electricity outage occurred at the airport.
I was glad when I hear that there was no casualty reported the Montserrado County District #4 Representative narrated. She at the same time called on the requisite authorities at the Airport to put their ark together in doing the right things.
Representative Dennis however, appreciated the management at the Lungi International Airport (LIA) for allowing the flight crew and passengers to safely landed in neighboring Sierra Leone.
It can be recalled that a similar situation occurred recently when President George Manneh Weah’s flight was delayed but management denied the allegation but later confirmed that there was a manor issue before his flight landed.
The management at the Roberts International Airport (RIA ) is yet to confirm nor denied the Wednesday, April 27, 2022 situation regarding Brussel Airlines.
