River Gee Coach Optimistic About Breaking Group Stage Barrier in Upcoming Sports Meet

River Gee County – River Gee County coach Alphonso Jarwee expresses optimistic as his team prepares for the National County Sports Meet in 2025–2026. He remains confident that River Gee advance past the group stage for the first time in a long time.

In an interview on Voice of River Gee FM 91.1, Coach Jarwee shared his confidence in the squad of 26 players. He noted that they have the ideal combination of talent, discipline, and willpower to enhance the county’s sporting standing.

“We have built a strong team, These young men have what it takes to make River Gee proud. Their commitment gives me complete confidence this season,” Coach Jarwee stated.

The team’s early elimination in the group stage last season left many fans unhappy. New to the position at the time, Coach Jarwee expressed regret to the River Gee community for the team’s performance. He stated that their early elimination was mostly due to unfair decisions made by match officials, but he believes that these difficulties have strengthened and inspired the team.

As the competition draws near, Coach Jarwee urged everyone in River Gee to support the football team. He said, “These boys represent the entire county, and their success is for all River Geeians. Your encouragement and support are crucial.”

Twelve players on the team are from River Gee, demonstrating the coaching staff’s emphasis on utilizing local talent this year. They believe that by doing this, the players will be able to collaborate more effectively and effectively represent the county.

Along with Grand Kru and River Cess Counties, River Gee County has been assigned to Group A, where they will play Maryland in their second game.

Although Coach Jarwee believes the group will be challenging, he is sure his team is prepared to take on the task. Excitement is rising in River Gee County as the preparations continue.

Young people and locals are optimistic that this year will be the one the team advances past the group stage. In this year’s National County Sports Meet, River Gee County hopes to make a much-needed breakthrough with a driven team and strong community support.
