Students Praised Liberian Embassy In China.

Monrovia, Liberia – The Bilateral Scholarship Students studying in China has lauded the Liberian Embassy in China for what they termed as “The safe repatriation of suffering Liberians from an Asian country named, Myanmar”.

In a statement issued by the Bilateral Scholarship Students termed the effeot of the Embassy as an act of deep humility, thus extending immense gratitude, stating it is a renewed sense of national pride.

The statement quotes the Chairperson, Dailay David Konway as commending the Liberian Embassy for its successful coordination and execution of the repatriation of those stranded Liberians from the Republic of Myanmar.

Chairman Konway noted that the immediate intervention by the Liberian government through its embassy in China marks a triumph of diplomacy and humanitarian concern; noting it is a vivid reminder that the Government of Liberia remains committed to protecting the rights and welfare of its citizens.

The Bilateral Scholarship Students Chairman further asserted that the Embassy’s leadership, dedication, and strategic coordination during this challenging and sensitive endeavor reflect a level of care and responsibility that deserves to be publicly celebrated.

It can recall, seven Liberians repatriated from Myanmar had endured months of uncertainty, hardship, and isolation in a foreign land under difficult circumstances. Their journey was not only physical, but emotional a test of endurance, hope, and faith. Now that they are now safely back on the Liberian soil, reunited with their families and communities, is a victory made possible through the extraordinary intervention of our diplomatic corps and international collaborators.

The release added that Mr. Moses Barclay, the First Secretary, who was sent and properly coordinated in make sure that the seven Liberians were timely repatriated; shows his passion for humanity and his unwavering dedication to public service.

At the same time, the Bilateral Scholarship Students’ leadership has lavished praises on international partners, humanitarian organizations, and local authorities in Myanmar for the cooperation and assistance provided to ensure the stranded Liberians timely repatriated.

Meanwhile, The Bilateral Scholarship Students’ leadership has termed it as a wake-up call for the returned of the traficked Liberians by the government of Liberia from Myanmar to prioritize investment in protecting diaspora Liberians.

A release from the International Student body lamented that many citizens of Liberia living abroad are faced vulnerabilities that may not always be visible, but are very real; as such, the government must continue to strengthen its protection mechanism through diplomatic channels.

The International student body through its Chairman, Dailay David Konway has therefore urged the Government and civil society organizations to work collaboratively in building stronger support systems, ensuring adequate consular resources, and launching public awareness campaigns that will equip Liberians with critical and necessary information before embarking on a travel adventure.

Chairman Konway is quoted as welcoming the returned Liberians but called on them to remain hopeful of better lives in Liberia; thus, committing support through reintegration programs as they regain their human dignity.
