Samuel Tweah admits

I PROVIDED MISLEADING INFORMATION ABOUT THE KILOMETERS OF ROADS

Monrovia, Liberia – The George Weah Administration’s finance minister, Samuel Tweah, has acknowledged that he gave false information regarding the number of kilometers of roads built. According to Minister Tweah, the current administration has paved 627 kilometers of roads in five years during a radio interview on June 28 with State Radio ELBC.

Speaking on local radio (Freedom FM) on Monday, July 3, 2023, the Finance Minister Monday claimed that the Ministry of Public Works was to be responsible for giving the master’s incorrect numbers.
According to the Ministry of Public Works, 347 kilometers of roads were really built over a five-year period, he disclosed.

The most recent data released by the Minister refutes the long-standing claim made by the CDC Government that it has built more roads than all previous Governments put together.
