Sebeh Gets International contract

A professional contract has been awarded to another member of Liberia’s National Amputees Football team as a result of the nation’s dominant showing at the just concluded 2022 World Cup in Turkey. Liberia comes in at number 17 in the Global World Amputees Football rankings. The nation’s current ranking came as a result of victories against France, Spain, and the Republic of Ireland, which gave the players opportunities.

Darlington Sebeh, who most recently represented LASA FC in the professional amputee football league of Liberia, has agreed to a one-year deal with the Barcilar Amputees Football Club of Turkey. Three football players from Liberia who are amputees and are now competing in the Turkish professional amputee league have signed contracts with him. However, Matthew Joe, who finished as Liberia’s second-best player at the World Cup after scoring four goals, was granted a one-year extension on his Barcilar deal.

After finishing the World Cup as the second-highest goal scorer with eight goals, Morilai Boakai’s contract with Konya Amputee Sports was extended for three years. Samuel Tengbeh, signed a professional contract with Busea Amputee Sports from 2018 to 2021, making him the first footballer from Liberia to have an amputation.
