Monrovia, Liberia – Senator Daniel Naatehn, Sr. of Gbarpolu County has passed away, according to the Collaborating Political Parties and Mr. Alfred Johnson, Director of Press for the Liberian Senate. The late senator was an astute CPP member and one of the key figures in the effort to elect CPP Presidential candidate Alex Cummings.
He reportedly passed away in India, while reports suggest that the exact cause of his passing is still unknown. Some Liberians, however, claimed that the state official was ill.
The National Elections Commission (NEC) has announced the deceased Gbarpolu County lawmaker as one of the eligible contestants for the October 10 senatorial elections.
As a senator, he has always been a steadfast supporter of pushing the right bills at the House of Senate.
