Monrovia, Liberia – Senator Prince Johnson, an ally of President Boakai, has accused him of ignoring Vice President Jeremiah Koung’s suggestions in the early stage of their administration.

Senator Prince Johnson of Nimba County claimed that Sylvester Grisbsy, the Minister of State for Presidential Affairs, is impeding the president’s ability to make decisions with ease.

President Joseph Boakai’s appointments have caused division, with many claiming that the Liberian leader is not appointing indigenous Liberians who have long battled with the UP.

Although it is too soon to say for sure, he acknowledged that the six-year journey has begun on a difficult, rocky path and he emphasized the need for Liberians to control their expectations.

The senator from Nimba County added that because of Mr. Gribsy’s affiliation, the president has allegedly disregarded every advice from vice president Jeremiah Koung. Senator Johnson made the statement at his Christ Chapel of Faith Church in Paynesville on Sunday, February 4, 2024.
