Senator Snowe Calls for Detailed Investigation into Alleged Gambling Activities at LBS

Capitol Hill, Monrovia – Bomi County Senator Edwin Snowe has called for a comprehensive investigation of the Liberia Broadcasting System’s (LBS) purported gambling operations. He voiced worries about how such activities would jeopardize the broadcaster’s goal of informing, entertaining, and educating the public.

Snowe stressed that the ethical norms that LBS is required to uphold could be compromised by these gaming operations.

Speaking to the Senate plenary, Senator Snowe emphasized the significance of upholding high moral standards within the institution and called for a prompt and comprehensive investigation into the accusations.

He cautioned that disregarding these allegations could undermine public confidence in LBS and undermine the institution’s reputation across the country.

Snowe urged his Senate colleagues to take swift action to safeguard LBS’s reputation, emphasizing the vital need for accountability and openness.

He emphasized that resolving this issue is essential for both preserving the broadcaster’s integrity and rebuilding public trust in its dedication to its fundamental principles and obligations.
