Senator Snowe Frowns on Gov’t for Deplorable Road Condition

Monrovia, Liberia – Senator Edwin M. Snowe has frown on the Boakai led government for the deplorable condition of the Freeport to St. Paul road corridor. He disclosed that Western Cluster has provided US$3 million for the rehabilitation of the road.

For many Bushrod Island residents, the Freeport to St. Paul’s bridge road corridor continues to be a significant obstacle, making it challenging for them to commute everyday to central Monrovia.

Senator Snowe voiced his dismay over the deteriorating state of the road in a statement to the Liberian Senate plenary on Tuesday.

He claims that Western Cluster and the Liberian government signed a memorandum of understanding requiring the corporation to provide US$4.5 million for the paving of the road from the Freeport of Monrovia to Tubmanburg.

As per his statement, Western Cluster and the Liberian government signed a memorandum of understanding requiring the company to provide US$4.5 million for the paving of the road from Tubmanburg to the Freeport of Monrovia.

The Bomi County Senator did point out, however, that the Western Cluster had given the Liberian government US$3 million specifically to repair the road that connected Freeport to St. Paul’s Bridge.
