SEEKS GOVERNMENT COLLABORATION
Monrovia, Liberia – A legally recognized social group in Liberia called “Serious Relationship Association” is urging its members to abstain from acts of violence during the country’s general elections on October 10, 2023.
SRA is a non-political group that is addressing the humanitarian needs of underprivileged citizens in Montserrado and surrounding counties, through the supply of assorted items. The organization is built on four cardinal principles: Unity, Care, to give back and to Love.
The organization’s chief executive officer, Patrick Sunny Wolo, stated that despite the fact that its members come from a variety of political backgrounds, the humanitarian organization will not commit support for any political parties or specific candidates in the next elections.
The Liberian living in the United States pointed out that because the Organization is under the watchful eye of its chapters in 19 other nations, any member who engages in political violence runs the chance of being expelled. He said, throughout these electioneering campaigns, the more than 6,000 members in Liberia should act as peace ambassadors.
“We are about to go to election in October, and I say to all of my over six thousand members in Liberia to stay away from violence. Our institution remains non-political. We will not pledge our allegiance to any political party, reason being is that we are all from different political backgrounds and we tell you to shine your eyes and make the rightful decision for our country.”
The Serious Relationship Association CEO, at the same time, disclosed the pending arrival of assorted materials for members of the organization who have paid dues for the past six months, as well as materials for less fortunate people in Montserrado County. He encouraged members who have paid their Monthly dues for the past six months to settle their obligation with the institution. Patrick Sunny Wolo maintained that payment of dues would help the Organization to meet its plan of action and address prevailing challenges.
“We have been delinquent with due payment. And I say to you, if you have not paid your dues from January to June, am calling on you to pay your dues and settle your arrears with the organization. In July this year, we will distribute some asserted items to members who have pairs their monthly dues up to six months.”
The Serious Relation Association will celebrate its second anniversary in December 2023, and, according to its CEO, a number of events are being planned to make the occasion a success.
Mr. Wolo said, among other things, that as part of the celebrations celebrating the institution’s second anniversary, a sizable tournament will be held among 32 targeted areas.
The Serious Relationship Association has its chapters in 19th countries around the world. Its Chief Executive Officer Patrick Sunny Wolo is a U.S.A-based Liberian, and former employee of the American Embassy in Monrovia, who was awarded his resignation by the former US ambassador, Linda Thomas Greenfield. He also served as security Advisor to two auditors general of the Republic of Liberia, Robert Kilby and Madam Yousador Gaye (deceased).
