Spartacus Coach Wellay Completes Two-months International Coaching Course in Hungarian

Monrovia, Liberia—Spartacus head coach Wellay T. Baar recently completed a two-month International Coaching Course at the Hungarian University of Sports Science in Budapest, Hungary, as part of a program funded by Olympic Solidarity. Key subjects, including coaching methodology, sport science, athlete development, performance analysis, sport psychology, leadership, strength and conditioning, and sports management, were covered in this intense program, which blended classroom instruction with hands-on training.

The use of technology in sports, player development, tactical analysis, and modern basketball coaching methods all attracted particular emphasis. Additionally, the training provided Coach Baar the chance to work together and share ideas with coaches and athletes from around the globe, broadening her knowledge of global coaching methods and bolstering her professional network.

Beyond the classroom, the program helped her grow personally and gain important cultural exposure, which broadened her view on coaching and athlete development. The program’s expertise, abilities, and global experience will be crucial in promoting basketball and sports growth in Liberia.
