SWAL Host One-Day Competition In Memory Of Fallen Veteran Journalist: Attorney Philip Ingrid Wesseh

Monrovia, Release-On Saturday, October 22, 2022, the Sports Writers Association of Liberia (SWAL) will host a one-day media sporting event. Atty. Philip Gina Wesseh, a seasoned journalist, will be honored at the sporting event on Saturday at the Barnesville Estate sports field in Barnesville.

The Female Journalists Association of Liberia (FeJAL) print and electronic journalists will square off against one another in kickball during the non-political daylong event, according to SWAL President Kolubah Zayzay. In the opening football match, Legislative Reporters will compete against Executive Mansion Press Corps.

The Judiciary Reporters Association of Liberia will play the Sports Writers Association of Liberia (SWAL) in the championship match. The sporting event serves as a platform, among other things, to remember and consider the enormous contribution that the country’s fallen media hero, Philip Wesseh, made throughout his life and career.

As a sign of appreciation for the important role Mr. Wesseh played in the Liberian media industry, SWAL encourages all journalists in the country to attend the day-long event in large numbers. A procession will kick off the day’s events at 10:00 AM.

To arrange both the print and electron teams, FeJAL has been requested to choose designated members.
