Monrovia, Liberia – Following the horrific stabbing to death of his girlfriend, Princess Zuo, on December 21, 2024, Bill Jallah, 38, was charged with murder, criminal attempt to commit murder, and aggravated assault. He ended up in prison at the Monrovia Central Prison. The deadly event happened close to Joe Bar’s Fast Nikel Entertainment Center in Paynesville.

After a dispute that started at the entertainment center, Jallah stabbed Zuo many times in her back and chest, according to the police charging sheet. Zuo, was taken to the John F. Kennedy Memorial Hospital and was declared dead.

Tensions between Zuo and Jallah had been rising for days, according to investigators. According to reports, Zuo’s choice to go out with friends on December 20 upset Jallah. According to the charging sheet, Jallah got angry that night when Zuo didn’t return his calls. Zuo phoned Jallah’s father, William Jallah, to voice her displeasure with his actions after he approached her at her place of employment the next day.

“Mr. Jallah told his daughter Kormassa Jallah to communicate the complaint to the rest of the family right away.”

Jallah’s sister Kormassa joined the two at the Fast Nikel Entertainment Center that night in an effort to settle their differences. Jallah bought beverages for the gathering, according to witness testimonies, but the conversation soon became heated. According to reports, Jallah said Zuo disrespected him by leaving without telling him.

“Defendant Bill Jallah started a dispute and/or misunderstanding with victim Princess Zuo while they were seated, bringing up the reason she went out with her friends. without his knowledge and did not answer his phone call,” the charging document reads.

When Zuo, who was clearly angry, left the entertainment complex and started to walk toward Duport Junction, the situation became more heated. Kormassa followed her to apologize on Jallah’s behalf, but Jallah followed them, according to the police report. According to the report, “Defendant Bill Jallah hurriedly followed after leaving the entertainment center.” Shortly afterward, Jallah fatally wounded Zuo with a knife.

Witnesses at the site alerted the police during the chaotic aftermath. Soon after the incident, Jallah was taken into custody. The sequence of events was confirmed by investigators using physical evidence, witness accounts, and Zuo’s injuries. The charge sheet also revealed that family members had attempted, but ultimately failed, to step in and help their difficult relationship.
