In Monrovia, a one-day strategic workshop to discuss how to execute the contentious National Housing and Population Census has come to an end. The Liberia Institute of Statics and Geo-Information Services convened the meeting, which was attended by the vice president and other development partners.
Vice President Jewel Howard Taylor made a special statement at the conclusion of the meeting in which she reaffirmed the government’s commitment to seeing that all enumerators are paid by this Friday, November 25, 2022.
The government, according to VP Taylor, is also figuring out ways to compensate all of the enumerators who haven’t received their compensation. She said in order to spread the word about how the Census is being conducted, there will be a strong national awareness campaign that will start soon.
Thoughts of gratitude were nonetheless expressed by the vice president of Liberia to the nation’s donor partners for their ongoing assistance.
