Watanga FC has moved 3rd place of the 2021/2022 Orange 1st division league table with 17 points from ten matches following a 3-2 victory over table leaders, Freeport FC over the weekend at the SKD practice pitch in Paynesville.
The Paynesville-based club came from 2-1 down to take all three points against the BushrodIsland based club. In other 1st division matches played on Sunday, January 23, 2022, 2nd place Bea Mountain and Mighty Barrolle settled to a 2-2 draw in the early kicked off at the same venue.
Nimba United came from a goal down to secure a surprise 3-1 victory over LISCR FC at the Tusa Field in Garnerville Township, while league defending champions, LPRC Oilers whipped Heaven Eleven 3-1 at the same venue in the first match of the day. Nimba Kwadoe settled to a zero-all draw at home to Monrovia Club Breweries in Sanniquelie, City Nimba County.
