Water Aid Liberia turns over four toilet facilities to residents of the Borough of New Kru Town and Bong Mines bridge communities.

Water Aid Liberia through its Wessex Urban Wash program over the weekend dedicated and turn over four toilet facilities and donated tire soap, brooms, chloride, and buckets to the residents of the Borough of New Kru Town and Bong Mines bridge communities.

Speaking at the dedication ceremony, Water Aid Liberia Country Director Chuchu Selma said the institution’s version is to address the sanitation problems of Communities within Montserrado County.

According to Mr. Selma, most communities in Liberia especially Montserrado County have and continue to experience the worst sanitary conditions.

He said with the prevailing situation that residents in Slum communities are faced with, Water Aid could not ignore without intervening.

The Water Aid Country Director has however challenged beneficiaries to use the toilet facilities and items donated wisely.

In response, residents of Central New Kru Town, Karpeh street, and Bong Mines bridge respectively thanked water Aid Liberia and its partners for their continuous support in improving the sanitary conditions of communities across the country.

They promise to use the toilets facilities and items donated for their intended purposes.
