A Liberian mother apparently took her anger towards her young son by tying and unmercifully flogging him as the child was seen with several bodily wounds.
The Liberia National Police on Thursday arrested a 29-year-old Liberian female, Joyce Cole for tying and unmercifully flogging her son.
According to the police, suspect Cole was arrested during the morning hours of Thursday, June 30, 2022, by LNP investigators in Neklay Town Community, Jacob Town, Somalia Drive, after a tip-off was received by a neighbor of the suspect who found the kid tied up and beaten mercilessly.
She is currently in the custody of the Liberia National Police and undergoing investigation.
The child was immediately turned over to the father of the victim for his care while the investigation continues.
Suspect Cole, based on the probable cause will be duly charged and forwarded to court to face prosecution.
