Woman Charge For Assaulting law Enforcement Officer

Monrovia, Liberia – The Liberia National Police (LNP) has charged 67-year-old classroom teacher Klady A. Paul with multiple offenses, including simple assault, disorderly conduct, and criminal mischief, after allegedly attacking Patrolman Koilous N. Larmin while directing traffic at the 12th Street intersection in Sinkor on Tuesday morning.

Addressing a press conference on Wednesday, August 13, 2025, at the Police Headquarter in Monrovia, Police spokesperson Cecelia Clark said, Mrs. Paul verbally abused and physically assaulted Patrolman Larmin, causing visible facial injuries and damaging a government-issued police communication radio.

The incident captured on video, reportedly created public disorder and disrupted police operations.

The LNP commended Patrolman Larmin for his professionalism and restraint during the incident, emphasizing that the force maintains a zero-tolerance policy toward assaults on officers. Mrs. Paul is expected to be forwarded to court for prosecution.

The police has however urged the public to respect law enforcement and uphold peace, warning that any attack on an officer will be met with the full force of the law.
