The Director of press at the Ministry of information Lawrence Fahnbulleh has underscored the need for public relations officers at every Ministries and agency to practice what he called a high level of flexibility towards media practitioners.
According to Mr. Fahnbullleh, the workings of government line Ministries and Agencies cannot be known without the involvement of the media as public relations officers and must work in line with media institutions and journalists in disseminating their information.
He stated that if a strong, good working relationship and collaboration is built between public relations officers and the media, there is a likelihood of sending government policy and programs across the country as such those responsible must build a strong tie.
The former president of journalists against sexual and gender-based violence said he sees the media as a means through which people vote against or in favor of sitting government agenda including the opposition, therefore it is important that public relations officers work with the media to translate their undertaking.
