Old Road, Sinkor – A 27-year-old woman, Yatta Kollie, was on early Sunday morning July 2, 2023, apprehended at the district offices of Montserrado County District 10 Representative, Yekeh Kolubah.
According to Representative Kolubah, his private security personnel arrested the 27-year-old lady with a single-barrel pistol while trying to escape with a stolen item from his district office.
The District #10 Lawmaker told Journalists that the young lady was also arrested with a laptop computer belonging to one of his staffers from his office while trying to escape the scene.
Given the string of purported attacks on him over the years by government agents, he claimed that the girl’s behavior was alarming. My private security personnel managed to detain coperate as she attempted to flee from the district office in the early hours of Sunday, July 2, 2023, with the stolen items Representative Kolubah narrated.
Representative Kolubah underscored the dangerous nature of the incident, considering the recent spate of attacks. ”I am expressing worry based on a series of attacks committed against me without adequate Investigation by State security.”
The 27-year-old Lady Yatta Kollie acknowledged holding the weapon but insisted that her actions were only meant to escape with goods taken from Representative Kolubah’s office, not to kill him as the District #10 Lawmaker had stated.
”I came to Hoso here, my first stop was in Vai Town Old Road where I entered an unknown man’s house and took the pistol Gun from under the mattress; I had nowhere to put it; I never knew this place is for a Lawmaker; I can even carry the Journalists to the house I took the pistol from. My intention was solely focused on escaping with stolen items”
