    Boakai Assures Investors

Monrovia, Liberia – President Joseph N. Boakai has assured total protection for all national and purposeful investors for whatever assets made or currently held in Liberia.

President Boakai said, “I assure you all that every cent you undertake to invest in Liberia will be fully protected,” during his remarks on Tuesday, August 6, 2024. The EJS Ministerial Complex in Congo Town served as the venue for the event.

The President gave investors confidence that their money would be profitable, secure, and stable while it is in Liberia.

Apart from the conflict, he says, the main reasons government theft and investment blocking in Liberia used to be bureaucratic red tape and corruption.

According to Boakai, the country’s investment-friendly legislation allow investors to repatriate their money without any restrictions, and the government uses both the US dollar and the local currency, giving flexibility for transactions.

“Given the direction our country has taken, your convergence at this investment conference today under the theme, “Winds of Change: Leveraging Private Sector Investment to Spur Growth and Development,” is especially welcome,” he said.

The Liberian president recounted how, ever since assuming office, he has been dedicated to and still is dedicated to establishing a country founded on the values of justice, peace, and personal responsibility.

Liberia is endowed with a wealth of natural resources and rich soil, according to President Boakai, who also said that it is legitimate for the people of Liberia to expect that these resources be used to create a nation in which we can all be proud.

He said that the country is already headed in the right direction toward becoming a place where people across the world can be proud of thanks to its collaborations with investors and development partners.

Boakai explained that these are the reasons he, as President, has often brought good news about our resources, suitability, and resolve to take a fresh approach to nation-building to such gatherings.

“Investment opportunities today are not only substantial and impressive, but they also promise substantial rewards,” the speaker stated with pride.

Liberia’s abundant natural resources include a wide range of industries that are worth investing in, such as mining, agriculture, tourism, energy, infrastructure, and more, according to the country’s leader.

“Liberia has rich terrain and abundant water in agriculture,” Boakai continued. This industry attracts a number of investors, including those who specialize in oil palm, rubber, and iron ore.

He claims that Liberia, which contains more than 42% of West Africa’s rainforest, presents excellent opportunities for the agricultural sector. He also says that Liberia is a great place for investors interested in manufacturing furniture because it has an abundance of uncommon and diverse wood species.

With more than 4,300 miles of coastline, Liberia boasts stunning beaches that are ideal for sports like surfing, according to the country’s leader in tourism.

He mentioned that Liberia is a great place for ecotourism because of its pristine forests and plenty of wildlife.
