As the National License D and CAF License C courses training by Liberia Football Association moves closer, the Liberia Football Coaches Association (LIFOCA) will on Thursday, 7 July begin a three-day training for about 30 Beginners Coaches.
The training will take place at the Antoinette Tubman Stadium in Monrovia beginning at 9 AM.
The Liberia Football Coaches Association is a mother body responsible for monitoring all football coaches across the country.
One of Liberia’s most decorated Coaches, Robert Larteh also a CAF License A coach will serve as the head facilitator of the training.
According to the LIFOCA President Barent K. Karr, Sr only coaches who have basic knowledge about the game will be allowed to coach in the upcoming league season.
He said failure on the part of any coach not to attend the coaching training will be doing it at his or her own risk.
At the same time, the Liberia Football Coaches Association (LIFOCA) is expected to conduct a By-election this Saturday to fill the vacancies of 1st and 2nd Vice Presidents.
The vacancies were created as the result of the expulsion of 1st Vice President Emmet Glasco and the death of 2nd Vice President Coach Ben Seedee.
Mr. Glasco’s expulsion was confirmed at the institution Ordinary Congress held in the Port City of Buchanan, Grand Bassa County in 2021 while Coach Ben Seedee died in Monrovia following a period of illness.
