Abandoned Child Foundation Appeals for Support to Keep Children in School

Monrovia, Liberia – The Abandoned Child Foundation (ACF), a neighborhood nonprofit organization, seeks for sponsorship to support disadvantaged kids in continuing their education. Darius Dolo, CEO of the Abandoned Child Foundation (ACF), is requesting compassionate people and organizations to help this cause in any way they can by contributing money, school supplies, uniforms, or educational resources.

“Even if you cannot give directly, you can still help by connecting us with others who may be able to support us. Every small act of kindness counts, and together, we can change lives,” Dolo said.

Dolo explained that in addition to covering tuition, the group offers the required resources and assistance to guarantee the children may continue their education without worrying about being sent home because of their inability to pay. He clarified that he founded ACF for very personal reasons after considering the difficulties he encountered as a child.

“I grew up facing many hardships. My father died in the 1990s, and my mother, who was not born blind, eventually lost her sight,” he explained.

Because to the kindness of those who supported his education, Dolo was able to go to school from kindergarten through college in spite of these obstacles.

“I know what it’s like to be rejected, to be judged because of your background, and to wonder if you’ll ever get a chance, that experience shaped my life. And after graduating from college, I made a promise to give back in the same way others gave to me,” he said.

The Abandoned Child Foundation was founded in 2018. Since its foundation, it has been dedicated to supporting children who have been abandoned by one or both parents, as well as those whose families cannot afford the cost of education.
