Africa New Stars Sports Academy wins first game in Sierra Leone

Africa New Stars Sports Academy under 12 team of Liberia has secured a 2:0 victory over Sierra Leone’s Legend FC under 12 teams in the ongoing Western Area Football Association International Youth Championship.

The nine days Tournament which features both under 12 and 15 teams is taking place at the Siaka Stephen Stadium in Freetown, Sierra Leone.

On Monday, December 13, 2021, Eight grassroots football clubs from Sierra Leone, Guinea, and Liberia all gather in Freetown, Sierra Leone to participate in the maiden edition of the Western Area Football Association International Youth Championship.

Peter Mannah and Solomon Tamba scored both goals in the first half to earn fresh three points while Ope Dorley won himself the man of the match. Africa New Stars Sports Academy is the only Liberian club participating in the tournament.
