Monrovia, Liberia – Joseph N. Boakai is slated to make his first speech at the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in New York, the United States of America on September 25, 2024, having taken seat as Liberia’s 26th President on January 22, 2024.
Already in the United States of America, President Boakai and his team are attending the 79th UNGA session. Among other things, the yearly worldwide conference brings together world leaders and international partners to address global concerns facing the earth and their individual nations.
Top on the agenda are concerns of climate change, sustainable development, peace and security, health and education. The Liberian leader is scheduled to convey Liberia’s case with an emphasis on his Government’s development agenda, the ARREST AGENDA as well as his adherence to international instruments and protocols respectively.
President Boakai as part of his official responsibilities while in the USA especially on the sidelines of the session is also expected to seek help from friendly nations to help support his ARREST AGENDA including how they can make interventions for his government and the people of Liberia generally.
Among other worldwide concerns confronting the planet and its people, he is also expected to flag Global Peace and Security, Education, Health, Regional Cooperation, Climate Change, Development, among others.
