Boakai Pays Solemn Visit To Fallen Lawmaker Solomon George’s Family

Monrovia, Liberia – President Joseph N. Boakai paid a sombre visit to the bereaved family of the late Honourable Solomon George, former representative of District #7, Montserrado County, on Wednesday, March 25, 2026, in remembrance of the lawmaker’s life and service during a period of deep sorrow and national reflection.

With friends, relatives, and well-wishers gathered to mourn the passing of a man many described as a loyal public servant, the President arrived to the family home in a gloomy mood.

Speaking softly but firmly, President Boakai expressed the government’s and the Liberian people’s sincere condolences and described the late George as a loyal citizen whose contributions to the nation’s progress will always be remembered.

“This is not just a loss to your family, but to the entire nation. Honorable Solomon George served with courage and conviction, and Liberia will forever remember his impact,” he explained.

Family members, however, expressed their gratitude to the President for the act of kindness, saying that his presence was consoling during a period of extreme sadness.

The late politician was well-known for his contributions to public service and his support of causes that common Liberians faced. Tributes to him have poured in from civic society and a wide range of political backgrounds.

President Boakai’s visit reinforced a message of togetherness, compassion, and respect for a life dedicated to service as the country grieves, telling Liberians that the legacy of leadership remains despite loss.
