Monrovia, Liberia – The recent attempted murder in Monrovia by American citizen Lucas Richard hs been condemned by the Coalition for Democratic Change’s leadership. The Secretary General of the Coalition for Democratic Change, Jefferson T. Koijee, urged the Ministry of Justice to launch a prompt investigation of the incident while addressing a new conference on Tuesday, September 19, 2023 in Monrovia.

”We would like to make it clear that we speak for the party. In my capacity as National Secretary General, I would like to express our strong desire for the ministry of Justice to investigate what has been referred to as an attempted murder by an American citizen on Liberian land. Because no Liberian deserves to die, we would want to express our appreciation to the Justice Ministry, but we will continue to closely monitor the situation until a just resolution. We wish to express our gratitude for detaining the American national who is allegedly responsible for the attempted murder.

Koijee argued that expediting the attempted murder case will bring the country’s judicial system back to full operation.
