The Coalition for Democratic Change (CDC) has formally launched its dollar rally campaign with the goal of raising money to support President George Weah’s bid for reelection and to carry out the party platform for the upcoming general and presidential elections in 2023.

The initiative would strengthen the party financially and ensure that the party mandate is carried out by officials, partisans, and friends of the CDC, claims Thomas Fallah, chair of the rally committee and District #5 Representative.

The CDC NEC has approved the following payment structure as the annual dues for party members, according to the Montserrado County District #5 Law Marker.

    A. National Chairman, USD$5,000
    B. All NEC Members, USD$1,000
    C. Members of the Legislature, USD$5,000
    D. Ministers, Managing Directors or their equivalent USD$5,000
    E. Deputy Ministers, Deputy Managing Directors or their equivalent USD$1,500
    F. Superintendents, Mayors, or their equivalent, USD$1,500
    G. Assistant Ministers or their equivalent, USD$700
    H. Local government officials below Superintendents, USD$300
    I. Ordinary partisans, USD$1 dollar

Meanwhile, it is announced that the party officials are setting up a digital payment mechanism to encourage donations from supporters.

Mulbah K. Morlu, Chairman of the Coalition for Democracy Change (CDC), praised all supporters of the party and reaffirmed the party’s commitment to treating everyone equally because the party is known for providing employment opportunities for its supporters. He also urged them to summon courage because the party is on the path to changing the nation.

Chairman Morlu informed the gathering that the party has purchased a half lot of Land for the late Morris Kromah family who was allegedly shot and killed at the party headquarters in Congo Town on November 7, 2011 saga; during the Administration of former Liberian President, Madam Ellen Johnson Sirleaf.
He said that based on numerous sacrifices made by the late Morris Kromah for the party, his action prompted the decision of the party to purchase a half lot of Land for his family.

Chairman Morlue said the party will take the initiative to build any contemporary structures the family requires.

On December 20, 2022, at the Samuel Kanyon Doe Sports Complex in Paynesville, Chairman Morlue reiterated the party’s pledge to formally petition President George Weah to run in the upcoming 2023 general and presidential elections. At the CDC offices in Congo Town on Saturday, November 12, 2022, over USD$750,000 in cash and pledges were raised as part of the dollar rally campaign.
