Cestos Mogars Deputy Coach blames Referees for poor performance

The Deputy Coach of Cestos Mogars has excused match officials for his team’s poor performance in the big six components of the 2022 National Basketball 1st division championship.

According to Zayzay D. Giggie, Cestos Mogars would have qualified for the big four categories if the referees were fairly handling their matches.

He said they were marginalized on many occasions against so-called big-name clubs, adding that, the match officials of the Liberia Basketball Association knew exactly what they were getting in return.

He made the remarks recently following Cestos Mogars 72-81 points defeat at the hands of NPA Pythons at the SKD Basketball Gymnasium in Paynesville.

” To admit, our players have lapses, but the referees contributed a lot to these results we have produced”.

“Our players normally start the match find but they start to break down during the 4th quarter which we have decided to work that out for the next league season, but the match officials always favored the big teams over us, Zayzay added”.

” If you witnessed all Cestos Mogars games, you will know exactly what I’m talking about, he acknowledged”.

Meanwhile, statistics have proven that Cestos Mogars did not win a single match in the bid six component of the league.
They have played four matches but lost all with more than eight points margin each.
The only match left for them is the outstanding game against LPRC Oilers who have also bid farewell to the competition.
