Defense Minister Designate Calls for Increment in Military Personnel Salaries

Monrovia, Liberia – Rtd. General Prince C. Johnson III, the nominee for minister of defense in President Boakai government, has promised to mobilize the senate to support raising the pay of army soldiers.

He claimed that since the men and women in the AFL today have the highest levels of education, their arrears should be proportional to their educational background.

The former chief of staff made the statement on February 6, 2024, during the daylong symposium for the Armed Forces of Liberia, which had as its theme “The Armed Forces of Liberia Commitment to Sustainable Democracy in Contemporary Time.”
