An Indian business tycoon Dr. Upjit Singh Sachdeva, commonly known as Mr. Jetty has once more extended his humanitarian gesture to inmates at the Monrovia Central Prison. On Friday, December 24, Jeety Trading Corporation provided hot meals or cooked food to 1, 400 detainees at South Beach where the prison is located.

During the ceremony, Jeety expressed happiness in providing a homemade meal to hundreds of inmates who have been detained for various crimes. He reflected on the pledge made to the Superintendent of the prison last year when he visited them but could not fulfill the same because of the outbreak of the Coronavirus.

Dr. Jeety however expressed delight in fulfilling his promise made with the sole purpose of perpetuating such initiative of identifying with the less fortunate every day. He then thanked the leadership of the prison for giving him the opportunity to identify with the inmates.

He urged his fellow business compatriots to do the same as a way of supporting efforts by the government, in helping to take care of the Monrovia Central Prison.

Receiving the items, Monrovia Central Prison Superintendent Lake lauded Dr. Jeety for always coming to the need of the Prison Center, noting that the move to ensure a constant food supply at the facility will be a boast to government efforts to keep it running.
