Monrovia, Liberia – George Manneh Weah, the former president of Liberia and the political leader of the Coalition for Democratic Change (CDC), has appointed former speaker of the 55th Legislature Cllr. J. Fonati Koffa as the head (chairman) of a committee tasked with building a new national headquarters. Former President Weah’s action on August 25, 2025, follows the court’s demolition of its former office.

The committee members include, Representative, Cllr J Fonati Koffa, Chairman, Senator Nathaniel F. McGill, Co-Chairman, Dee-Maxwell Saah Kemayah, Sr., Advisor, John Youbuty, Treasurer, Madam Ruth Cooker Collins, Technical Advisor and Famatta Wesseh, Secretary.
Others include, Mamina Carr Gaye (Youth League), Sriyah Musu Isodjee (Women’s League), Eugene Lenn Nagbe, General Coordinator, Madam Yvette Freeman, Quiwu Pepci Yeke, Dr. Marie Scott-Wilson, Kyne Oliver Kyn, Yayah T. Sheriff, Emmanuel Ticonti Tutu Swen, Cllr. Garrison Yealu, Jurah A. M. Sanoe, Roosevelt Johnson Jr., Michael Andrew Massaquoi, Isaac Doe, Samuel A. Wlue, Manneh George, Ariminty Tubman and Abraham Askie.
Following the selection, the former president ordered the committee to establish subcommittees as needed in order to cooperate and deliver the new facility within a year at latest. Additionally, he explained that with the recent politically motivated action, the party will continue to receive a great deal of goodwill and support for this endeavor.
A specific bank account will be formed and the information made public in order to coordinate these activities. “There will be a variety of payment options available,” Weah continued.
