Ganta  City Mayor,  Amos M.G Suah has termed his City as the most filthy facility for human inhabitants and called on their partners and government to come to their aid to keep their City alive.

Speaking to Reports231 following his motion to break the filthy Ganta City silence on the Freedom of Information Investigative Journalism fellowship in his City on Saturday, March 12, 2022, Mayor Suah accused the Safe Environmental Actors  (SEA) garbage collection Company of failing to take her responsibility.

He said the Contract between Ganta  City and Safe Environmental Actors was initiated by his predecessor  Benjamin  Dorkpah to clean the City of Gompa.

According to him, they agreed to collect the garbage in the City and also sell tickets to the business owners and other Citizens to collect their fees.

Mr. Suah however cried out that (SEA) has abandoned their responsibility leaving the city in a very deplorable situation over a period of time.

The Ganta City Mayor disclosed that the garbage disposal has remained the imminent challenge as they have no trucks to collect their garbage.

The Mayor vowed to terminate the Contract between (SEA) and his City by Monday, March 14, 2022, and replace them with a qualified entity that is willing to take the responsibility.

Speaking to the (SEA) Manager,  Mr. Eddie Gbatu, he terms Ganta city Mayor Comments as petit jealousy that has no facts.

According to him, the last time he spoke with Mayor Suah on their challenges, was on Thursdays  March 10, 2022, but his response was that Mr. Gbatu is undermining his City Mayor position.

At the same time,   Mayor Suah has launched a campaign to retain the original name of his Ganta City to Gompa.

” since our City was established and recognized in 1978, we named it Gompa instead of Ganta. But Kpeeleh tribe pronunciation as Ganta has overshadowed her original name.

We are currently engaging the media to pass on this information, right after all the signboards and businesses indicating the city as Ganta will be taken down and be replaced as Gompa”, the Gompa City Mayor announced.

The Gompa City Mayor,  Mr. Amos M.G Suah however noted that anyone found in violating the set protocol to regain their City name after their conclusion will be dealt with to the letter.
