Monrovia, Liberia – In an effort to buttress government developmental initiative, a non-profit organization is expected to donate over four hundred and fifty thousand United States Dollars ($USD 450.00) medical supply to four government run Hospitals in the country.
Addressing a news conference in Monrovia, Joseph N. Boakia Foundation newly appointed Executive Director Jackson George said, healthcare and promoting preventive measures are central to the foundation’s activities.
He noted that the foundation supports improving healthcare infrastructure, conducts health camps, and provides medical supplies to enhance access to quality healthcare services.
Mr. George named the Phebe hospital in Bong county, the C.H Rennie Hospital in Margibi, the Liberian Government Hospital in Bomi and the Redemption Hospital in Montserrado county as hospitals captured under phrase-one of the medical drugs distribution exercise.
According to the foundation Executive Director, the organization is dedicated to fostering sustainable development and improving the well-being of communities, particularly in underprivileged regions.
He said, the foundation since it establishment in 2018 vision is to create a positive social impact, focuses on critical areas, including Agriculture, Health, Education, Youth and Gender Development, Water and Sanitation as well as the Environment.
Mr. George emphasized the Foundation commitment to empowering communities through integrated development initiatives.
He stressed that the Organization goals is to enhance livelihoods, promote social equity, and build resilient societies.
The group head at the same time pointed out Agriculture, Education, Water and sanitation,Youth and Gender Development
as priority areas for the Organization.
The continue that the foundation undertakes projects to improve sanitation infrastructure, promote hygiene education, and advocate for clean water access and collaborates with communities and stakeholders to implement sustainable sanitation solutions and reduce the prevalence of waterborne diseases.
He maintained that the medical drugs distribution exercise will commence shortly beginning with the Redemption Hospital in Montserrado follow by other countries.
