Assistant Minister for Children and social protection also Chief of operation of Anti Sexual Gender Base Violence Road Map, Madam Maminah Carr Gaye of the Ministry of Gender Children and Social protection turns six rape compromiser over to the Liberia National Police .
Speaking late Friday evening February 18, 2022, at the Ministry of Gender in Monrovia, Ms. Maminah Carr Gaye said, the six arrested, went at her office negotiating to give her $1000, us to throw out the Sodomized/ rape case involving Abraham Peter Alex with a 21 years old Girl.
According to her, after receiving notification with the Medical report by Journalist Joseph Tumbey stating that a 21 years old Girl who is a residence of Johnsonville town claim to be sodomized and rape by her Aunt Fiancee Abraham Peter Alex. While Alex was been released by police on bill, she immediately contacted the Police for more details.
According to the Gender Minister, after their four days engagement which started on Tuesday February 15, to Friday February 18, 2022, the group of six female who claim to be the relatives of the perpetrator appeared at her Gender Ministry Office with the assurance of given her $1000,00us to terminate or compromise the 21 year old sodomized and rape case.
She continued, ” I immediately inform the Liberia National Police and subsequently turned them over for undermining the process as we are all aware that rape is a National Emergency”.
According to the Medical Report in our possession, it shows the victim private body was seen swollen reddish with bruiser due to forceful penetration of an object with her womanhood been tampered with.
The Family of the survival have however alarmed that the perpetrator is on the run, but the Assistant Minister for Children and social protection who is also the Chief of operation of Anti Sexual Gender Base Violence Road Map, of Gender Ministry, Madam Maminah Carr Gaye however assures the public that the police will made the Perpetrator available to face Justice.
