Coach Matthew Julutweh has refuted recent media reports indicating that he has signed for one of Liberia’s Traditional clubs, Mighty Barrolle.
Coach Jah as he is popularly known in Liberian football told Reports231 in a telephone conversation on early Tuesday, January 18, 2022, that there are discussions ongoing between him and Mighty Barrolle Sports Association, but they are yet to finalize things.
” Just to clarify the news circulating around that I am the coach of Mighty Barrolle, is not true. I am still the coach of my club, Watanga FC, he posted on his official Facebook page”.
Meanwhile, the Secretary-General of Mighty Barrolle Sports Association, Timothy Paulus said they have parted company with Coach Thomas Ampunnah based on mutual consent. According to him, the officials of the club have been discussing with many coaches to replace departed Thomas Ampunnah, but no decision has been reached for a new coach.
Mr. Paulus has also refuted recent speculation in the public that Mighty Barrolle has signed Grand Gedeh County defender, Emmanuel Wakaso. He said it is established that Barrolle has engaged the player who he said has expressed interest in playing for the “Kayan Pepper boys”, but discussions are still ongoing with his club in Zwedru to finalize the process of securing the signature of the player.
The Secretary-General in his official Facebook comments on late Monday evening, January 17, 2022, stated that once the deals are finalized, the Mighty Sports Association will inform the public.
“The discussions are still being held with the targeted coaches. No decision has been made and concluded. A new coach has not been selected and hired at this point. Once we conclude arrangements and finalize the terms and conditions for hiring of the new coach, The Mighty Barrolle Sports Association will release the requisite Press Statement to the public”.
“We are also engaging the services of players from other counties in the recent County meet. As Secretary-General of Mighty Sports Association, I will issue a Press Statement concerning all of the above at the appropriate time”, Mr. Paulus said.
