Old Folks Calls On Finda Bundoo As July 26 Draws Closer
Monrovia, Liberia – A group of old people from the streets of Monrovia and its environs including disadvantage youths is calling on former Chief of Protocol of the Executive Mansion under the Weah led government Amb. Nora Finda Bundoo to remember them as July 26 approaches.
Speaking in an interview with this institution, one of the the folks, Esther Johnson said, under the Weah government, the former Chief of Protocol will distribute house hold materials including food and cash ahead of the July 26 celebration.
The Liberians who are mostly seen around street corners, strategic junctions and open places to beg for arms accuse the Boakai government for not looking their way since taking power.
Stephen Brown, one of the disadvantage youth emphasized that during former President Weah term, he will send Amb. Bundoo to help them with food or cash as he drive to work at times during his regime.
They added that the former chief of Protocol on her own account will at times visit them and meet their needs.
As the July 26 celebration approaches, the folks complained that they have seen no sign from the incumbent government and its officials. They complain that the new officials show them no care, sorrow or respect, but rather asked them to go back home and ask their families to help them.
“We will forever remember Finda Bundoo (our Rescue Mother),” one of the oldfolks Mary Nyumah said.
The old folks and disadvantage youths are calling on “Rescue Mother” this July 26, season. They also called on former President Weah to do same as they still uphold him as their leader.
