John Ballout Predicts First Round Victory for Boakai-Cummings Ticket

Monrovia- Former Maryland County senator John Ballout believes the Boakai-Cummings ticket will win the first round thanks to a strong opposition. Former Maryland County senator John Ballout remarked that the Boakai-Cummings ticket will guarantee the opposition’s win in the first round of the 2023 elections. He believed that the country would benefit from a united opposition in the upcoming elections.

In order to ensure that Benoni Urey’s All Liberia Party is included in the government arrangement, he persuaded Nyonblee Karnga Lawrence, the leader of the Liberty Party, to take the position of first female Senate Pro Tempore.

Former Nimba county senatorial candidate Tarr Wongbe recently predicted that Alternative National Congress political leader Alexander B. Cummings would not be able to win the 2023 election and that his only chance of becoming president would be to serve as Joseph Nyumah Boakia’s vice standard bearer.

Tarr Wongbe

The former ANC executive asserted that given what transpired with the CPP and the current political context, the ANC leader is not capable of winning the presidency. He noted even though Mr. Cummings might be the best candidate to head the present leading opposition team, he lacks the electoral votes necessary to be elected president. Mr. Wongbe claimed that the ANC made a mistake and acted arrogantly when it claimed that it would have come in first in the CPP for a third-lower position in the 2017 elections.

He insisted that the ANC did not need to enter into an early collaboration given its resources, particularly following the 2017 elections.
